well every so often i get a comment on my "lesbians: hot or not" entry. i think there's about eight or so comments on it now and most of them are reasonable. there is two however that are not so reasonable, i mean they don't really offend anyone and i can see the point of view behind one of them...it still fails to escape me why some people are so gutless that they have to write a rude comment then leave no name or url ~ i think that's really funny. anyway, i'm pretty sure that these two disagreeing comments were left by males. which got me thinking ~ why do males have a problem with it? you would honestly think that females would have more of a problem because being lesbian, that's what you do right ~ hook up with chicks, so i thought there'd be girls out there who would be "scared" of lesbians because they didn't want to hook up with another girl. but really it's been the opposite. i know that alot of guys fantasise about lesbians ~ and the thought occured as to why because they had no chance but seriously these days sexuality has come a long way and there are a fair few bi girls out there (like myself). maybe guys are scared of lesbians as well ~ maybe they think that all the lesbian and bi girls are out to steal their girlfriends or something like that. who knows?

this continuations of the lesbians: hot or not? question also begs the question that if you had a friend who told you that they were gay/lesbian/bi would it change your friendship. the first entry was mainly just based on whether you would think differently of them. this one is like what would you think if you're best friend or something like that came out and said they were gay. would the friendship change? would it stay the same? would you be intimidated? would it not bother you? i've tested this theory, telling my friends slowly that i'm bisexual. alot of my guy friends were shocked, apparently they just didn't expect it, and all my other friends except one don't bother. this one friend heard something off the grapevine that was completely wrong about my boyfriend and i that was in relation to me being bi. that was it for her ~ she is no longer my friend. it doesn't bother most of my friends - i think they're all just hoping that i won't try to hook up with them. which i wouldn't because - and it can be put into straight people terms - if you had a good friend of the opposite sex, like and you had known them and been great friends for years you're not really going to hook up with them, that would be weird and it might screw up the friendship. friends are friends and lovers are lovers and sometimes they cross and when they do it's either with the result of "it was a great time and we'll just stay great friends" or it can screw the friendship up. either way, friends of lesbians/gays/bi people needn't worry, they're not going to try to hook up with you ~ chances are they don't even think about you like that.

sexuality does not change who you are. it's only the shallow people (like my friend, no offence i mean she was a great friend, she just couldn't handle it) that don't like it and if your friends don't like it are they really your friends?
